
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:
Friday January 27, 2017
Jessica Sue Pittman and Callie Michelle Tanner, both 23 and both of Roanoke Rapids, were cited at approximately 3 p.m. for larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Both were released until their February 24 court dates.
Officer J. Spragins responded to Walmart about a larceny and learned from loss prevention they allegedly took items.
Reginald Lucas, 56, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 8:30 p.m. for driving while impaired.
Lucas was released to a responsible party until his February 27 court date.
Officer O. Wiltsie responded to a single-vehicle crash near Highway 158 and Virginia Avenue and determined during the investigation Lucas was impaired.
Sergeant M. Moseley and Officer S. Blythe assisted.

Stephanie Moore, 52, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 3 a.m. for driving while impaired and speeding.
Moore was released to a responsible party until her February 27 court date.
Moseley conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Highway 158 near Georgia Avenue and determined Moore was impaired.
Ricky Lee Wilson Clements, 28, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged at approximately 5:15 p.m. for larceny, possession of stolen goods and trespassing.
Clements received a $500 bond and February 24 court date.
Spragins responded to Walmart about a larceny where loss prevention reported Clements allegedly took items.
He had been banned from Walmart in the past for other matters.
Officer J. Mason assisted.
