Chaloner Middle School will operate on regular schedule Monday after the gym and band room sustained heavy smoke damage Saturday morning.
“Staff have worked diligently over the weekend to ensure that our classrooms are safe,” the school system said in a statement this afternoon. “We are fortunate that all fire damage was contained to the gym and band room.”
The school system did say arrival and dismissal will be slightly reconfigured due to clean up crews on campus for the next few weeks.
