The 3rd Annual "Team Mike" Mike Newsome Adult Slow-Pitch softball tournament has been set for April 22, 2017.
The games will be played at the Northampton County Wellness Center just outside Jackson. The cost is $200 per team donation and the team is gaurenteed three games. The late coach Mike Newsome, who devoted so much of himself to the youth of the Roanoke Valley for nearly 50 years as a coach passed away January 16th 2015 at the age of 67. Friends came together to form "Team Mike" and find ways to honor the late coach Newsome and keep his memories alive awarding a scholarship in his name to senior females at in the three high schools and the sports he coached.
