The Halifax Academy women's soccer team suffered it's first conference loss of the season Friday night in Raleigh.
St Thomas More Academy defeated the Lady Vikings by a score of 5-2.
Both goals for the Lady Vikings were scored by Abby George unassisted.
Post match comments by Viking head coach Tim George, "The offense has been struggling over the last few games and we need to figure out how to score when we get the opportunities. The defense has been a little off as well lately and that's a bad combination when you can't find the net. Injuries have played a role as well early this season with a couple of key players currently out. Goalie, Jordan Strickland suffered a concussion near the end of last nights game in a colission while making a save and will be out while recovering."
The next match for the Lady Vikings is scheduled for Monday, Mar 20 in Fayetteville vs Village Christian Academy at 5:30pm.
