Weekend arrests reported by the Roanoke Rapids Police Department and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office:
Roanoke Rapids
Chief Chuck Hasty reported on Saturday around 11:30 p.m., Master Officer Roy Ball conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Highway 125 near Interstate 95.
During the stop Daquon Maurice Marrow, 20, of Enfield, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a handgun which was found during a search of the vehicle.
Marrow received a $1,000 bond and May 5 court date.
Sergeant M. Peck and Officer N. Velazquez assisted.
Halifax County
Chief Deputy Scott Hall reported Detective R.B. Biggerstaff obtained warrants on William Scott, 49, of Littleton, for a November 14 vehicle break-in.
Scott was charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny.
Scott was arrested by Sergeant Mike Almendarez Saturday in the Littleton area.
He received a $1,500 bond and April 5 court date.
