The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings women's soccer team extend their winning streak to five with an 8-1 conference win at home against The Epiphany School out of New Bern Monday afternoon.
Vikings head coach Tim George stated, "The girls came out tonight and had some fun while trying players in different positions. We have been focusing lately on not wasting our opportunities when we get in front of the goal and we're able to take advantage of this tonight, including two headers for goals. Over the season and also the last couple of years, the girls have gotten better at attacking the ball out of the air and it paid off tonight."
Goals for the Lady Vikings include hat tricks (three goals) by Whitney George and Maddie Suiter with Abby George contributing 2 goals.
Halifax Academy looks to extend their winning streak at home Wednesday night at 5pm versus conference opponent Rocky Mount Academy.
