The Roanoke Rapids High School JV Yellow Jackets baseball team lost to the Bunn Wildcats 5-4 in extra innings Tuesday at Bunn.
Cameron Medlin and Carson Neal both pitched for the Jackets serving up a total of seven strike-outs on the night. Both pitchers pitched well.
Post game comments from JV Jackets head coach Aubrey Coker, "I am proud of the team on how they played today. They continued to battle until the very end and never gave up. Colin Long played as well as I've seen anyone play this year defensively making two great plays that got us out of innings and saved us some runs. We still struggle at the plate with not being aggressive and jumping on pitches and protecting with 2 strikes."
Caleb Johnson led the team with two hits.
The JV Jackets will now focus on getting ready for South Granville on Friday at home.
