Thanks to the generosity of Coach Mark Snead and staff of the Roanoke Rapids High Baseball Team, the Chaloner Middle School Jackets got an opportunity to play at Doyle Field last week.
It was a great experience for the Chaloner Jackets to get to play at the high school field and greatly appreciated.
Chaloner defeated Cornerstone Christian 15-0 behind a strong pitching and hitting performance of A. J. Strickland. A. J. pitched a one hitter striking out 14 batters and only walking 3.
Strickland also had 4 hits including a 2 run inside the park homer, a 2 run double, and 5 RBI's. Bennett Liverman had a strong day at the plate with 4 hits of his own including a double and 2 RBI's. Caleb Elias had 2 hits including a double and 2 RBI's. Collin Clements, Josh Coker, Jacob Edenbeck, Russell Moore, and Avery Johnson all added hits for the Jackets.
