The Brunswick Academy Lady Vikings grabs lead in extra innings for the victory over the Halifax Academy Lady Vikings.
The Brunswick Academy defeated Halifax Academy 4-2 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with Brunswick batting in the top of the thirteenth when Kyleigh Capps hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
Halifax Academy evened things up at two in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs in the ninth inning Emerson Poole drove in one run when she doubled.
Brunswick Academy had seven hits in the game. Peyton Coleman and Katherine Daniel each collected multiple hits for Brunswick. Daniel and Coleman all had three hits to lead Brunswick.
Brunswick Academy stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Coleman led the way with three.
