
Twelve year old Susannah Davis, of Roanoke Rapids, who cheers with Raleigh based Cheer Extreme Raleigh’s SMOEX competed in the 2017 Cheerleading Worlds Competition held April 29-May1, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.
SMOEX won 3rd place/bronze medal in their Medium Coed Level 5 division out of 26 teams.
The Cheerleading Worlds Competition is an international event held annually in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. It is sponsored by the US All Star Federation (USASF). Over 9,000 teams competed in the Worlds Competition this year, where teams can win World Champion titles.
Cheerleading teams compete all season, for a “bid” (invitation) to compete at this event. SMOEX received a full paid bid (invitation) to Worlds with a First Place Medal at the JamFest Competition in Indianapolis, IN in January.
Susannah is the daughter of Sarah Deese Davis of Roanoke Rapids, and Jonathan Davis of Raleigh. She is a 7th grader at Chaloner Middle School.
Davis is in her second year in All Star Cheerleading at Cheer Extreme Raleigh and also competed on another Cheer Extreme team, the Junior X (large junior restricted level 5) and won First Place at NCA 2017 in Dallas, Texas.
