The Roanoke Rapids JustSave grocery store will be closing at the end of the month.
Kimberly George, vice president of communications and corporate citizenship for Alex Lee Inc., confirmed this morning the company “is announcing continued adjustments to our total store portfolio. As part of these adjustments there will be store closure of an underperforming store by June 30.”
The Roanoke Rapids JustSave employs 10 full-time and 27 part-time employees.
“Good business decisions are sometimes difficult decisions,” she said. “We regret any impact this closing may have on our employees and their families, and we can assure you that we will work with them to ease their transition.”
George said where possible, employees will be offered positions at other Lowes Foods or JustSave locations. “If this is geographically impractical, we will provide financial assistance to help them.”
