The Halifax Community Basketball League wrapped up it's season with a banquet Friday night.
The six teams made up of 8-12 year olds played on Saturday mornings at William R. Davie Middle school. League organizer Marcus west put this league together to bring the community together and have somewhere the kids could learn the game and have fun. After the meal Friday night, the teams were treated to the guest speaker of the night, who was former Weldon High, UNC and NFL football player Kentwan Balmer. Trophies were then presented to the players and coaches thanking them for their time this season.
