The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League Under 12 All-stars opened their 2017 Area All-star tournament Friday afternoon in Currituck with a win and advance in the winners bracket.
The U12 girls All-stars beat Currituck County All-stars 12-8.
Natalie Reda got the win on the mound giving up two hits, two walks and striking out nine batters.
Offensively for the Roanoke Valley girls: Alexia Coley went 2-3, Sue Odom went 2-3 with one RBI, Kaysie Summerlin went 2-3 with three RBI's, Janiya Odom went 1-3 with one RBI, Natalie Reda went 1-3 with one RBI, Kylie Wade went 1-3.
The RVGL All-stars return back to action Saturday at 4:30PM against Camden Count All-stars.
And the Under 10 RVGSL All-stars lost 0-1 to Currituck County. No other info reported to RRspin Sports.
