The Roanoke Valley under 16 girls softball all-stars fell to Cashie 12-4 Sunday and finished in second place in the 2017 Tarheel District 7 Tournament.
Offensively for Roanoke Valley: Cassidy Dickens went 1-3 with a single; Makayla Pair went 1-3 with a single; Paige Turner went 1-3 with a single and a RBI; Meghan Beam went 1-3 with a single; Lily Chappell went 2-3 with a single and a double and one RBI; Caitlin Bobbitt went 2-2; Abbey Goodwin walk; Taylor Wade went 1-2 with a single.
Cassidy Dickens pitched 7 innings with 2Ks and three walks.
The Roanoke valley Under 16 all-stars were still invited to the 2017 Tarheel State Tournament July 20th in Smithfield/Clayton.
