Timothy Craig DeBerry, Sr., 50, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Timothy was born in Roanoke Rapids, March 21, 1967 to Millard Paul DeBerry, Jr. and the late M. Caroline Hines DeBerry. He loved computers and attended Victory Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Timothy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Zitti Hines; paternal grandparents, Millard and Daisy DeBerry.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Millard Paul, Jr. and Blanche DeBerry of Roanoke Rapids; son, Craig DeBerry and wife, Becky, of Grovetown, GA; daughters, Ashley DeBerry and Gary of Roanoke Rapids and Kimberly Swanson and husband, Shawn, of Washington State; girlfriend, Barbara Woodard of Conway; brothers, Shawn Rose of Roanoke Rapids and Tim Rose of Scotland Neck; grandchildren, Caroline DeBerry, Liam Swanson, Kaylie Swanson, Heath DeBerry, Ellie Bowen, Lux Swanson and Owen DeBerry. Also surviving are his nephews, Jonathan and Travis Rose; aunt, Verdie Riggan and many cousins.
The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Saturday, June 15, 2017 from 6-8 pm. Rev. Jeremy Kobernat will conduct funeral services Sunday, June 16, 2017 in the chapel at Hockaday at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
