
The Roanoke Rapids High School Cross Country team will start practice on Monday July 31st.
Cross Country is a sport that is great for the motivated and disciplined athlete. It teaches athletes to push themselves to get better in order to help the team succeed. Athletes who play winter and spring sports are encouraged to run cross country in order to get in great shape for their upcoming seasons. Here are the details for cross country practice:
Practice Information
Date of 1st Practice: Monday July 31, 2017
Time: 9 am
Place: Start of the Canal Trail at the RR Dam (across the street from the Lake Park at 100 Oakwood Avenue)
What to wear: Comfortable running clothes and shoes
What to bring: Water will be provided, but you can bring your own drink if you want
** Runners are asked to drink lots of water between now and Monday to make sure they are hydrated before practice begins.
Qualifications to run Cross Country
- Runners must be academically eligible
- Runners must have a current physical on file (within the last year). If not on file, you can bring it to practice on Monday.
