The Roanoke Rapids men's soccer team opened the Northern Carolina conference play Monday night at Hoyle field against the Durham School of the Arts.
The Jackets 6-0 coming into Monday's match fell behind early and never recovered falling 4-1 to DSA.

post match comments by Roanoke Rapids head coach Craig Jean, "We played bad against a good team. DSA's players had a great first touch and a lot of speed, and our touch was off tonight big time. We tried to force everything forward and didn't play with good patience. I thought we would wake up and get back in it when Emerson scored, and we had a handful of chances to do so, we just didn't finish the 4 to 5 good chances we got. I'm glad we get to play again tomorrow night so we can put it behind us and get back on track."
