Jackets soccer improves to 3-0
The Roanoke Rapids Men's soccer team shutout the J. F. Webb Warriors 6-0 at Hoyle field Monday night.

Goals for the Roanoke rapids Yellow Jackets were by Carson Neal with two, Emerson Escobar, Chase Johnson, Anderson Castillo, Josh Miller one each.

Goal assist for the Jackets were by Emerson Escobar and Anderson Castillo while Thomas Merritt had 7 saves in the goal and A.J. Pearson had 4 saves in goal.

Post match comments by Jackets head coach Craig Jean, "It was good to see us find the back of the net. I figured if we got a couple early we would break out of the shooting slump we were in. We had some very pretty goals tonight. Webb is a good team- our guys executed the game plan very well and took their #7 out of it. I'm very proud of our guys' decision making overall. We have so many weapons that make us dangerous right now - Chase's set piece from 55 yards out was not an accident. We are attacking the edge with a lot of speed and our fronts are making some nice rips as well. Our entire back line had a good night tonight. Our keepers combined for a shutout with AJ Pearson coming in and saving a PK. The whole team seemed very in sync and everyone played well. We've still got a lot of improving to do and we will because this group sees their hard work paying off and it motivates them to work harder. "

The Yellow Jackets are scheduled to host Northeastern at 6PM at Hoyle field Tuesday night.
