Ashland, Va. – The Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball team invites golfers and Yellow Jacket fans alike to its annual Golf Open and Season Kick-Off.
The event is set for Saturday, September 23, 2017 at The Hollows Golf Course. This year will mark the 21st edition of the Open.
Check-in will begin at 11:00 A.M. along with a silent auction. Lunch will follow at 11:30 and golfers will hit the tees at 1:00. Fans who do not wish to golf are still invited to the lunch and Kick-Off portion of the event.
The Kick-Off and Open offers fans the opportunity to meet the team, including Coach Carroll LaHaye, entering her 36th season with the Yellow Jackets.
"This year's 21st Annual R-MC Golf Open is better than ever with Patrick Buick of Ashland jumping on with a Hole-n-One opportunity to win a Buick Encore," LaHaye said. "We also have several local vendors who have donated gifts for our silent auction. We are very excited to have all these new items for our participants. The additional support of our event will make it better than it has been in previous years and we appreciate the increased interest."
The open directly helps the women's basketball program at Randolph-Macon. Sponsors are still being accepted for the Open as well.
