
Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association (RRYBA) held it's 2017 Hall of Fame inductee banquet at Kirkwood Adams Center Thursday night.
Carey Foster, Danny Haislip and Bam Moore were inducted into the 2017 class of the Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association Hall of Fame.
Carey Essex Foster, former coach and League President. Served as league President from 2005 to 2013. Also served as a coach from 1969 to 2013. Longest volunteer in the RRYBA history serving 45 years. Fosters service was rooted in a love for the league and all the kids he coached.
Edward Danny Haislip, former coach and sponsor. Served as volunteer coach from 1971 to 1984. Worked diligently to improve the league and it's facilities. An excellent steward of the game who taught kids about baseball, but also how to become positive young men.
Willard Dempsey "Bam" Moore, former coach, umpire and a fundraiser. Managed teams from 1978 to 1988, winning multiple league and district titles. Also finished second in the State three times. Key fundraiser and contributor to the league working countless hours to improve it's facilities. Loved teaching the game and always taught winning and losing with dignity.

2014 - Alton Dickens, Dicey King, Cecil Arthur and Al Haskins
2015 - Crow Allen, Sidney Edwards and Willard Oliver
2016 - Nat Vaughan, Edmond Dixon and Toby Neville
