Halifax Academy student Kate Hawkins earns 5th place and named to 1st All-Tournament team at golf tournament.
Hawkins shot a 77 stroke score this past Wednesay September 27th in the Tarheel Youth Golf Association’s North State Girls High School Challenge at Keith Hills Golf Club in Buies Creek. Hawkins finished 5th and named to the All Tournament 1st Team.
Hawkins represented Halifax Academy as an indvidual in this tournament since Halifax does not have a girls golf team (she plays on the boys' team in the Spring as do a few other girls in the conference as none of the schools have a girls team).
Kate is the daughter of Doris and Taylor Hawkins of Aurelian Springs.
