Halifax Academy Cross Country raced in the State Championship Meets Friday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC.
The Girls placed 4th overall while the Boys finished 3rd.
Morgan Hudomint finished 2nd and was awarded the State Runner-Up medal with All-State honors.
Thomas Garrett took 4th in a field of 96 to earn All-State recognition.
The girls were paced by Hudomint, Whitney George, Kate Starnes, and Kate Forsht.
The boys' top scorers were Garrett, Jacob Harris, Kris Carter, and Ted Fleming.
Halifax coach stated, "This State Championship Meet and our CIC Championship last week marked strong finishes to an outstanding season. Our team members worked to positively impact the team and to improve their times. They encouraged one another en route to accomplishing these goals. Many set personal records over the last 2 meets."
