The Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets soccer team won their home opener Wednesday night at Hoyle field.
Roanoke Rapids ladies shutout Louisburg 9-0 in the first half. The match was called at half time due to the 9 goal slaughter rule.
Goal for the Lady Yellow Jackets were Catherine MacNichol with four goals, Elena Miller with two goals, Ella King with two goals and Morgan Davis with one goal.
Roanoke Rapids player with assist were Ella King with three, Catherine MacNichol with two, Elena Miller with one, Morgan Davis with one.
Goalie Abbey Acree had one save in goal.
Post match comments from Jackets head coach Craig Jean, "2-0 in the conference is a good start, and it is nice that we came out and did our job quickly on another cold night. We will try to keep winning streak going VS Webb Monday."
