The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting in which two people were injured.
Lieutenant Joseph Sealey said the shooting occurred in the housing authority development off Highway 301 outside Weldon.
Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, he said. The victims were transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Motive in the shooting, which occurred around 3 p.m., has not been established and investigation continues.
