
The Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets softball team honored local Law Enforcement, Fire fighters, Emergency Medical workers, Military and Veterans Tuesday night.
Roanoke Rapids High School JROTC members presented the colors at home plate for the playing of the National Anthem while Roanoke Rapids Police officers Dan Bybee and Hannah Grimes took to the pitching circle.
Grimes a Roanoke Rapids Alumni threw out the first pitch and was presented with game ball signed by all the Yellow Jackets players.
The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets fell to 1A/2A Northern Carolina Conference 7-0 JF Webb Warriors 13-3 in seven innings.

In the Circle for the Jackets were Cassidy Dickens pitching 4 innings, 13 hits, 6 earned runs, Lily Curtis pitched 1 inning, 3 hits, 1 strikeout, 3BB, 2 earned runs, Camden Bierbauer pitched 2 innings, 3 hits, 1 strikeout, 2 earned runs.
