KIPP High softball honored it's 2018 seniors Tuesday afternoon in Gaston hosting Weldon High.
KIPP beat Weldon 20-10 and are now 8-2 and sitting in second place in the 1A Tar Roanoke Conference and waiting on first place Rocky Mount Prep to finish conference play.
Also this was the last class with players who played for KIPP's late coach Mike Newsome who passed January 16, 2015. It could be the first time to win or co-conference champions since Coach Newsome coached his 2013 team.
