The #5 seed Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets soccer team advance to the 2nd round of the 2A NCHSAA State Championship Play-offs Tuesday night at Hoyle Field.

The Jackets will host the winner of Wednesday's match between #12 seed East Duplin and #21 seed Spring Creek.
Lady Jackets Catherine MacNichol and Ella King had a "Hat Trick" three goals each while Elena Miller, Karalee Miller, Morgan Davis and Brianna Woolard all with one goal each.
Jackets with assists were Elena Miller with four, Ella King with three and Catherine MacNichol with two.
Hannah Moseley had nine saves in goal.
Lady Jackets coach Craig Jean post match comments, "I am very proud of my team tonight. That was as pretty of an assist and goal to start a game that you will see. The fact that it occurred about 10 seconds into the game made it even more impressive. I thought our players gave a great team effort and took care of business like we expected to. We will play the winner of East Duplin vs Spring Creek at RRHS later this week."
