Halifax Academy Lady Vikings soccer team advances to the 3rd round NCISAA 1A State Championship playoffs.
The #6 seeded Lady Vikings win a storm shortened match against the Greenfield School Knights by a score of 8-0 Thursday night on Halifax field.
"The team came out and played one of the best games of the year with overall control of the field," stated Viking coach Tim George. "The whole defense stepped up with Kallie Barnes playing her best game of the season. The overall passing game looked very sharp tonight. This was a great team win and we now focus on playing at #3 Statesville Christian School on Saturday afternoon at 4PM," George added.
Abby George led the scoring with a "Hat Trick" three goals and two assists. Whitney George scored two goals to go along with two assists. Maddie Suiter had two goals and one assist. Kate Starnes completed the scoring with one goal and two assists.
