
Roanoke Rapids police say the robbery of prescription drugs from Walgreens Thursday night occurred several hours after one in Greensboro.
The theft from the pharmacy of Walgreens in Roanoke Rapids involved 29 types of prescription medications which included pain pills, Lieutenant Charles Vaught said today.

The police department sent photographs which include the robbery of the Greensboro store as well as the Roanoke Rapids store.
Vaught said the medication was most likely stolen for sale on the street.
The Roanoke Rapids robbery occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. when three suspects entered the store. Two went to the pharmacy.
