The Weldon Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in a hit and run which occurred May 12 shortly after 11 p.m.
Lieutenant Chris Davis said a juvenile, who was later treated and released, was struck by a vehicle while walking alongside the roadway in the area of County Road near Weldon High School.
The vehicle was black in color of unknown make or model.
The vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
