The Roanoke Valley paused to remember the sacrifices of veterans today during a Memorial Day at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
Retired Navy Lieutenant Commander Keith Hutchins gave the keynote address and Marine Corps Colonel Pete Shacklette laid the United States flag at the base of the veterans memorial at the cemetery.
