RRPD roundup: Larceny by employee; drug arrests

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

On Friday Officer S. Blythe responded to Belk about a larceny by employee,

Loss prevention told Blythe Unique Rajaee Tillery, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, took cash from the store over a period of time while she was working.  

Blythe arrested and charged Tillery with larceny by employee.

She received a $5,000 bond and July 18 court date.

 

On Saturday Master Officer J. Hardy was following up on a drug complaint in the 300 block of Jefferson Street when he approached a vehicle parked on the street with people inside.  

When he approached the vehicle he detected the odor of marijuana.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and narcotics and paraphernalia were found.  

Hardy arrested and charged Robert Martin Williams Jr., 35, of Roanoke Rapids, with possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule VI, possession of schedule II, possession of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He received a $ 1,500 bond and July 18 court date.  

Te’a Tamara Robinson, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver Percocet and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She received a $2,500 bond and a July 18 court date.

Hasty said more than 10 grams of cocaine and more than 20 grams of marijuana were seized.

On Saturday at approximately 6 p.m., Hardy responded to a call of a hit and run collision on West Chaloner Drive.

The vehicle and driver were located on Sunset Avenue.

Troy Wayne Carter, 32, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked, hit/run with property damage, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

He received a $1,500 bond and June 25 court date.
