Mrs. LaVonne Barrett Williams age 75, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids.
LaVonne was born August 15, 1941, in Conway, NC.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Thomas Barrett and a nephew R.K. Barrett her first husband Bobby Johnson and her second husband Edward Keith Edwards.
She worked for Gay Implement Company in Seaboard, NC for over 40 years.
She is survived by her husband James “Dick” Williams. Her step son, Keith Williams. Her mother, Mary Elizabeth Vick Barrett. Her brothers, Tommy Barrett (Martha) and Joe Barrett (Ellen); a sister, Vickie Gilliam (Tom). Her step granddaughter, Abbie Newsome (Munk). Many nieces and nephews and also her friends Ann and Dennis Bailey and many, many other friends that she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC with Rev. Sue Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Conway Cemetery, Conway, NC.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC, Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM.
