The Roanoke Rapids based Under 14 girls fast pitch travel softball team RV Power (03) finished their 2016 season this past weekend on a high note.
The team didn't get to play two weeks ago because of the hurricane Matthew, but won a free berth in the Spring to the "Top Gun Winter World Series" in Myrtle Beach this past weekend.
The girls went undefeated in bracket play and defeated Fusion 14-3 along with Stix 3-1 on Saturday earning them a spot in the winners bracket on Sunday.
The girls defeated MARA-Mustangs 7-2 on Sunday sending them to the championship game against the Stix team again. The girls again beat them, this time 3-2 to become the 2016 Top Gun Winter World Series Champions in the U14 division.
