The RRHS Cross Country teams competed in the NCHSAA 2A Mideast Regional meet this past Saturday October 29.
The Yellow Jackets ran a strong meet with all 10 runners who competed running season best times.
The Men's team consisted of Eric Baird, Cody McKeel, Kenny Odom, Hunter Hargrave, Matthew Price, and Josh Sweet.
The Women's team consisted of Caitlin Bobbitt, Kate Pleasant, Alexis Karns, and Amanda Chau.
The highlight for the team was Caitlin Bobbitt setting a personal best time at the meet and qualifying for the State Championship meet on Saturday November 5 in Kernersville, NC.

Our team has practiced really hard all year and consistently dropped time each meet with the goal of peaking at regionals. And that is just what they did. This team has made me proud all year and Saturday was just another example of that. I am so happy for all of them posting season best times and especially happy for Caitlin qualifying for the State Meet. What a great accomplishment for her and our whole team."
