Roanoke Rapids police responded to the theater Friday night after a disturbance was caused when country music star Tracy Lawrence asked private security to leave.
Chief Chuck Hasty said in a statement Lawrence asked them to leave while they were attempting to carry out their security assignment.
“As a result of security leaving a large crowd gathered at the stage which resulted in pushing and shoving.”
Hasty said “the RRPD quickly dispersed the situation and no arrests were made. Several subjects were asked to leave the venue.”
