Roanoke Rapids High Alumnus Nazair Jones was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Third Team as selected by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association again for the 2016. A honor Jpnes won in 2015 as well.
Jones was a key veteran leader on a young defensive line, recording a team-best 7.5 tackles for loss among his 62 total stops. Jones recorded 1.5 sacks one force fumble and recovered a fumble, Jones missed the season home opener against JMU due to injury thus giving his totals in a 11 games played.
Jones and the remaining UNC team are waiting for Sunday's Bowl selections to see where the Tar Heels will finish their 2016 season.
