Chaloner Middle School baseball team defeated Rocky Mount Prep in its first ever meeting by a score of 16-2.
Grayson Hargrave pitched for the Jackets and threw 3 scoreless innings, only gave up one hit and walk while striking out six batters.
Hargrave also let the Jackets in hitting with a double and a triple (3RBI's). A.J. Strickland, Bennett Liverman, and Hunt Van Dam all had two hits a piece. Strickland had a 2 run double and Liverman had a 2run triple. Caleb Elias, Avery Johnson, Jacob Edenbeck, Collin Clements, Russell Moore, and Marcus Moore all added hits for the Jackets.
