The Lady Vikings soccer team from Halifax Academy makes it six wins in a row by beating conference opponent Rocky Mt Academy at home by a score of 3-0 Wednesday afternoon.
Goals were scored by Maddie Suiter, Whitney George and Abby George, with assists by Abby George, Whitney George and Holly Forsht.
Jordan Strickland in goal and the solid defense unit consisting of Anna Garrett, Kate Starnes, Karley Eason and Haley Eason provided the shutout victory.
Post match comments by Lady Vikings head coach Tim George, "All the girls played well tonight despite the steady rain falling. We played a young but talented RMA team tonight who allowed our defense a chance to prove that they are developing as the season progresses. The offense continues to find different ways to score tonight with Abby George providing the highlight of the night tonight with a fantastic volley off of a corner kick from the 18 yard line."
The Lady Vikings play next at home on Monday, April 10th against Ridgecroft at 5pm.
