The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings softball team hosted the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles Wednesday afternoon.
Halifax's Emerson Poole up to bat in the bottom of the sixth inning up 8-0 and bases loaded. Poole hits a out of the park Grand Slam to end the game 12-0 under the slaughter rule.
Poole also added a single and two doubles in the game, while Drew Rose and Candice Smith each had a single and a double, Morgan Hudomint had two singles, Ashton Garner had a triple, Ashlyn Liles, Karen Alston and Sydney Smith each had a single.
Candice Smith pitched the six innings for the Vikings striking out 8 Eagle batters.
