The Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets are set to host the 1st Annual "2017 Battle of the Border" High School Softball tournament on April 14th and 15th at the High school softball field.
The North Carolina team of Roanoke Rapids will battle the Greenville NC team of JH Rose Rampants Friday morning at 11AM. Then a homerun derby with eight girls will happen following that gam and the Virginia Brunswick Academy Vikings will battle and two Virginia teams will battle eleven D-2 State Champions from Chesapeake the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators at 2 PM.
The two losers will play Saturday at 11 AM and the two winners will play the Battle of the Border Championship game Saturday at 2 PM
Admission is $5 per person. Jackets concession stand will be open for drinks, popcorn and candy. Come out and support the Lady Jackets and see some great softball.
