KIPP football stats over Hobbton

KIPP Pride High improved to 3-0 for the 2016-17 football season Thursday night with a 28-14 win over Hobbton High.

Thursday's game was the first home game of the season and first on KIPP's newly regressed football field. Hobbton scored first and missed the extra point attempt. taking the lead 6-0 lead. KIPP answered with touchdown and a two point conversion to take a 8-6 lead. Hobbton rebounded with a kickoff return for a touchdown and a two point conversion to regain the lead 14-8. KIPP followed with 6 points to take a 14-14 tied to the half. KIPP scored another 14 points in the second half to earn the 28-14 win.

 

KIPP Offensive Stats:

Jaden Garner had 27 carries for 155 yards and 4 touchdowns, Jarvis Adams had 19 carries for 89 yards. Jamauri Baker had 6 carries for 19 yards. Jaquan Brown had 4 carries for 16 yards. Terrance Walden had 2 carries for 12 yards. Malik Lee had 1 carry for 2 yards.

Jamauri Baker was 2 of 3 passing for 19 yards. Antonio Davis had 2 catches for 19 yards.

 

KIPP Defensive Stats:

Jamauri Baker had 5 tackles

Semaj Mitchell, Monte Plum, Pedro Jackson, Tyrese Turner, Evangelo Scott and Tyrell Moody each had 3 tackles.

Trevon Vincent had 2 tackles

 

KIPP head coach Goef Muma post game comments, "Once again the O-line did a great job, which includes: Pedro Jackson, Kevon Price, Victor Jackson, Marvin Lee, Tyreek Brown, Kalyb Garner, Antonio Davis, and Efrain Avellanenda Munguia."
