In the 2017 1A NCISAA State Championship playoffs the #11 seed Northeast Academy Eagles (7-9) Varsity baseball team hosted #14 seed Community Christian (6-10-1) Tuesday night in Lasker.
The NEA Eagles were in the bottom of the seventh inning tied 7-7 with Community Christian and the bases were loaded. NEA's Noah Lassiter nails a shot over shortstop and to the fence scoring himself and all three runners. But do to only needing one run to win and complete the game, Northeast Academy won 8-7 and advance to the 2nd round. Thursday.
Northeast Academy (8-9) will travel to Fayetteville to play #6 seed Northwood Temple Academy (9-4) with the first pitch set for 4:30PM.
