
The Roanoke Valley Girls softball Under 12 All-star team earned wins Friday and Saturday in the 2018 Tarheel League District 7 tournament and are headed to the Championship game Sunday in Currituck.
The U12 Valley team beat Perquimans 4-2 Friday.
Kalissa Williams pitched and struck out eight, retiring 17 of the 26 batters she faced.
At the Plate for the Valley team, Skylar Wade had a double that scored 1 and later scored on a wild pitch. Alex Richardson had two hits and the girls drew 4 walks, that allowed the Valley All-Stars to score the other 2 runs.
On Saturday morning the U12 Valley girls beat Cashie 5-3.
Chloe Moore pitched and struck out nine, retiring 16 of the 26 batters she faced.
Sarah Kate Ricks had a double that scored two runs, Jaina Davis had an in the park homerun that scored three runs. Alex Richardson, Chloe Moore & Jacey Carlisle all had a hit each as well.
The Roanoke Valley U12 All-Star girls play Sunday morning at 11:30AM for the District Championship.
