The Roanoke Valley Under 15 Girls Softball All-Star team beat Ahoskie 1t3-1 Sunday in Currituck to win the 2018 Tarheel League District 7 Championship.
Caitlin Bobbitt scored the first run for the Valley team off a single from Makayla Pair in the 1st inning.
The Valley All-Stars scored ten runs in the third inning with two singles from the birthday girl Lexie Coley, Makayla Pair had another single, Gracie Mason had a single, while Rylie Wad had a triple.
The Valley team added two runs in the fourth with a single by Cassidy Dickens and a Triple by Gracie Mason.
Cassidy Dickens pitched for the Roanoke Valley All-stars facing 20 batters allowing only four hits.
The Roanoke Valley U15 All-star team now sets it sight on the State tournament in Shelby NC.
