The Roanoke Valley based men's slow pitch softball team Apostles earn 2016 USSSA State Champions.
The tournament was held at Walnut Creek Softball Complex in Raleigh Aug 20 & 21.
The team went undefeated Saturday, lost their first game on Sunday and fought back through the losers bracket to make it to championship game where they beat the undefeated team twice to win the State Championship. The Apostles will be attending the USSSA World Tournament September 29 - October 2 at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
